Need a little help?

Listed below are some helpful ideas for your success in Biology or Anatomy

1.  Take good notes!

2.  Finish all assignments completely, and turn them in on time.

3.  Don't wait until the last minute to start studying for a test.  Especially for the Anatomy tests - it helps to review your notes several times throughout the week instead of the night before.  Otherwise you may feel overwhelmed.

4.  Come to class prepared- books, notes, folders, pen/pencil.

5.  If you have homework, use your agenda to keep track.

6.  If you don't understand something, come talk to me.  I don't bite!

Taking Good Notes

A very important component to success in the biology classroom is to have the skills necessary for taking good notes. To improve your ability to do well on tests and in the lab, take the time to follow a few simple suggestions.

SUGGESTED NOTE TAKING IDEAS:

1. Write as neatly as you can, without going too slow.
2. Always date your notes each day.
3. Write down the goal of the day.
4. Title each new chapter and all sections.
5. Leave some space between sections to add extra information.
6. Number each page at the bottom.
7. All handouts should be inserted as you go.
